couple of other R2Rs and also a couple of my clients. This is the consensus:

Commercial recruiter RMS has hired two consultants for one position after being impressed about the quality of candidates who applied for the position. 

Health and social care recruiter Pulse has announced an increase in earnings in 2008.

Earnings before interest, tax and amortisation (EBITA) increased to £7.1m from £1m in 2007. Revenues rose 43% to  £138m.

Gross margin increased by 58% to £26.2m, with gross margin up 1.8 percentage points to 19%, with operating cashflow of £6.9m.

The number of green jobs being created is on the increase, according to the managing director of specialist green recruiter Acre Resources.

Andrew Cartland says that he has observed a 58% increase in the number of green jobs on the market in the past year in the corporate responsibility, climate change and environmental space.

NHS PASA, the health service’s purchasing and supply agency is to be closed within the next 12 months. In a move that will have major ramifications for healthcare recruiters, it is to be replaced by a more commercially focused regime.
