I read that rec-to-rec Aston Taylor offer this new managed service option for recruiting. As an established rec-to-rec, I have discussed this with a
couple of other R2Rs and also a couple of my clients. This is the consensus:
Aston Taylor, as the preferred supplier of recruitment professionals, are offering a 50-50 split. This does not seem a fair option as all they are doing is putting candidates forward that are fully interviewed and referenced. The fairer option would be in a 15% fee — 10% to the R2R and
5% to Aston Taylor.
Then you have the other question of will they act dispassionately and always put another R2R’s candidate forward.
If R2Rs are submitting their candidates through Aston Taylor for roles within a managed service client company, what assurances will they give
that they will not use our candidates for other roles they are working on? As we are in tough times we need to obtain as many good candidates as possible.
In addition, clients are also being restricted on which candidates are being put forward, as it is down to the account manager as to which candidates go in front of the client. It’s likely that the client may miss out on good candidates.
