Commercial recruiter RMS has hired two consultants for one position after being impressed about the quality of candidates who applied for the position. 

Marian Reed, director of rec-to-rec firm Mackenzie Brown Recruitment, told Recruiter the company “forged” another position: “The client was so taken with the quality of the candidates, their experience and knowledge, that they were both offered positions within the organisation.”

Paul Martin, business manager at RMS told Recruiter, the company decided to take on an extra person after meeting the candidates: “We found during the interviews that both candidates had the experience and enthusiasm that we were looking for and felt we had to seize the opportunity and adjust our recruitment plans.”

Peter Wallace, consultant at Mackenzie Brown Recruitment, told Recruiter the number of candidates in the market was helping increase the quality of the consultants he was able to put forward.
