Oracle’s vice-president for e-business, UK, Ireland and South Africa has warned that vendor alliances risk becoming “marriages of convenience” that put the customer at risk. “Alliances will never help business processes if the customer has to pay for the integration,” Chris Baker told AMR Research’s European executive conference.
European businesses believe internal resistance to change is their largest barrier to effective supply chain management, a survey has found.

The efficiencies, highlighted in a report from the National Audit Office, show that the palace has brought travel costs down to £5.4 million in 2000-01, from £17.3 million in 1997.
