Rise Group has appointed Graeme McConnell to be the new business development manager of its Rise Executive arm.

McConnell was previously a manager at Select Appointments where he managed three of its sectoral brands and looked after such clients as Ignis Asset Management, Morgan Stanley and DFS.

The deal was for an enterprise value (the theoretical takeover price) of €782m (£691m), or $13.80 (£8.46) per share.
 
The deal follows the acquisition of Spring Group in the final quarter of 2009.

The research shows that the US represented the largest individual search market in the world with 22.7bn searches, equivalent to 17% of searches conducted globally.
