Rise Group has appointed Graeme McConnell to be the new business development manager of its Rise Executive arm.

McConnell was previously a manager at Select Appointments where he managed three of its sectoral brands and looked after such clients as Ignis Asset Management, Morgan Stanley and DFS.

After significant development in the past two years, including the well publicised acquisition of Hammond Resources and a number of high profile appointments including Rise Group sales director, Neil Lafferty, and Bill Guthrie as managing director of Rise Professions, Rise Group is now entering a period of consolidation.

However, it is still looking to hire a number of experienced consultants from both accountancy and finance, and HR recruitment backgrounds, as well as bringing on board a number of graduate trainees who could fit into the ambitious plans at Rise Group.
