US executive search firm The Prout Group has taken on Tony Brown as senior vice president.

Brown will be based in New York, acting as managing partner of the firm’s New York office.

Business process outsourcer Talent2 has appointed Mary Sue Rogers as global managing director of its HR business.

Rogers joins from IBM’s global process services business, where she worked for nine years, being the global leader for the HR, learning and recruiting outsourcing business since 2007.

IT recruitment company Verticality has reduced operating costs by 30% by using SugarCRM’s customer relationship management software Sugar Professional.

Verticality found its previous software lacked the flexibility to customise its solution without incurring excessive additional costs.

From 2012 part-time students will be eligible to borrow the full cost of university tuition fees for the first time ever.
