Agencies warned over intermediaries' claims
Recruiters are continuing to put themselves at financial risk, despite the debt transfer provisions of the government's MSC (managed service company) legislation, which came into force on 6 January, a senior Her Majesty's Revenue and Custom's (HMRC) policy adviser has warned.

Fines warning on tough new immigration laws
Recruiters need to prepare for the overhaul of immigration legislation on 29 February if they are to avoid fines and the risk of losing their reputation, according to employment law specialist Lewis Silkin LLP.

If a firm is fined it could also lose the right to recruit from outside the European Union under the changes.
