John Bowmer and Tony Reeves got a bit carried away when announcing their deal with Berkeley Scott. The pair, former chief executives at Adecco and Hotgroup respectively, are injecting £2.5m into the hospitality recruiter. The headline in their initial announcement referred to their “acquisition” of Berkeley Scott. In fact, they are acquiring a 62.6% stake — a big stake, but not quite 100%.
