International recruiter SThree has recorded a “consistent” performance across its international operations, according to a trading update for the financial year ended 28 November 2010.

The update reveals:

• Group gross profit of around £167m, down 2% year-on-year (2009: £171.1m)

• Permanent gross profit up 15% year-on-year for the full year and up 53% year-on-year in Q4

UK umbrella company FPS Group has appointed Kingsley Daniels as associate director of sales.

The new role is a promotion for Kingsley, who joined the company as sales manager a year ago.

Sales recruiter BTA Sales Recruitment has opened an office in New York City.

The firm says the decision to open a US branch came after demand from UK-based US corporations, which has led to the move with one of BTA’s most experienced business managers, Hamish Scott, who will lead the operation.
