Kenexa, provider of business solutions for human resources, has agreed a partnership with job posting distributor eQuest.

The contract will integrate eQuest’s portfolio of job posting delivery services into Kenexa’s recruitment technology software.

Hays has won two new public sector contracts.

Hays Social Housing has been appointed by Golden Gates Housing Trust to manage its recruitment in Warrington and to help deliver jobseeking skills to the local community. The firm will support the housing trust in recruiting quality professionals and offering advice to residents seeking employment.

Marketing & communications recruiter 2nd City Resourcing has appointed Helen Poole to head up its product team. She joins from Resource Bank.

Multi-sector recruiter Eximius Group is to open an office in Manchester.

The new office will initially specialise in the education, health and social care sectors.

Paul Jones, who joins Eximius Group from Hays, will lead the Manchester operation.

Talent assessment providers SHL and PreVisor are to merge.

The merged entity will be known as SHL, providing more than 15m assessments annually in over 150 countries and more than 30 languages.

Terms of the transaction remain undisclosed. The firm will be headquartered in London, with offices in North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australia/New Zealand.

Employment services group Renovo has acquired specialist HR recruiter Eden Jones.

Renova says the acquisition is a strategic move to expand Renovo’s overall proposition for clients and provide a new, dedicated HR recruitment division.

Eden Jones will operate under the Renovo Employment Group brand with immediate effect and will continue to operate from headquarters in York.

Just under a quarter (22.8%) of UK workers are unhappy in their current job, according to research from recruitment consultant Badenoch & Clark.

The research also shows 27% would not recommend their employer (27%), while further fifth (21.9%) stated that the dominant reason they went to work was due to routine. One in ten (10.3%) were motivated to work by spiralling debt.
