International recruiter SThree has appointed Clay Brendish CBE as non-executive chairman.

From 1 May, the non-executive chairman of Anite and Echo Research and former executive deputy chairman of CMG, succeeds Sir Anthony Cleaver, who retires at the AGM on 23 April. Clay will also chair the SThree Nomination Committee.

Job-related searches by UK consumers fell by over 5m in Q4 of 2009, according to a new report by independent search marketing agency Greenlight.

The report shows that 8.4m job-related searches were recorded in December, down from 13.8m in October.
