International recruiter SThree has appointed Clay Brendish CBE as non-executive chairman.

International recruiter SThree has appointed Clay Brendish CBE as non-executive chairman.

From 1 May, the non-executive chairman of Anite and Echo Research and former executive deputy chairman of CMG, succeeds Sir Anthony Cleaver, who retires at the AGM on 23 April. Clay will also chair the SThree Nomination Committee.

Sir Anthony Cleaver, chairman, says: “Clay has a vast breadth of business knowledge and we are delighted to welcome him as chairman of SThree.  His particular experience within entrepreneurial, niche-technology environments, combined with his governmental and international exposure, will only serve to strengthen our board. While I am very sad to be stepping down, I know that I leave the board in a strong position to take full advantage of global expansion opportunities.”
