WHSmith implements StepStone solution

Retail chain WHSmith is implementing a new e-recruitment solution from StepStone Solutions.

Retail chain WHSmith is implementing a new e-recruitment solution from StepStone Solutions.

The retailer found that using manual, paper-based processes in the recruitment of the 4,000-6,000  new staff needed each year took too long.

The redevelopment of WHSmith’s recruitment website, using StepStone, means the system carries out initial screening, schedules interviews and generate all correspondence with candidates. The system also assists internal processes, such as getting approvals from an area manager or getting references checked.

WHSmith HR director, Anthony Lawrence, says: “The functionality, user-friendliness and flexibility of the solution matched our needs very well. We were also impressed by the ethic of partnership with customers that StepStone displayed.”
