Technical engineering recruiter Morson says it has seen no major upturn, in a trading update ahead of the publication of its preliminary results for the year ended 31 December 2009.

Coventry-based firm E-PPL is set to launch a new jobsite for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs).

HR software and services provider NorthgateArinso has acquired Australian HR and payroll solution provider Neller.

The purchase supports NorthgateArinso’s global growth strategy as it expands into Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific. The company now has offices in Auckland and Wellington (New Zealand), Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Supermarket Asda is to create 6,000 new jobs in 2010.

The Hays Oil & Gas Global Salary Guide, based on over 7,000 responses, also shows that the average oil & gas professional in the UK earns £92,000, compared to a UK salary average of around £25,000.
