A new work permit category introduced today (August 9) for those with ‘exceptional talent’ will do little to help UK employers fill skills shortages, according to an employment lawyer.

According to the UK Border Agency, “This route is for exceptionally talented individuals in the fields of science, humanities, engineering and the arts, who wish to work in the UK.
