INTERNATIONAL US: CDI revenue up and profit down, both by 10%

US engineering and IT staffing and outsourcing firm CDI Corp has seen revenue grow to $272.5m (£170m) in Q3 2011, a rise of 9.3% to compared to the same period the previous year.

US engineering and IT staffing and outsourcing firm CDI Corp has seen revenue grow to $272.5m (£170m) in Q3 2011, a rise of 9.3% to compared to the same period the previous year.

Meanwhile, operating profit has fallen by 10.5% to $4.4m (£2.7m) within the period.

This growth has been driven by increased activity in the process and industrial and aerospace sectors, while business from infrastructure and government services contracts have been shrinking.

The company expects further growth of between 5% and 8% for the fourth quarter compared to the equivalent period in 2010.
