Technology recruiter SThree has seen its profits rise, according to an interim management statement for the period from 30 May 2011 to date. 

The group’s results reveal:

· Permanent gross profit up 23%* year-on-year

· Contract gross profit up 12%* year-on-year

· Group gross profit up 18%* year-on-year

· Improvement in both permanent and contract fees

Monster’s professional networking application for Facebook, BeKnown, is now available for iPhone app across Europe and the rest of the world.

The established mobile app for BeKnown allows users to establish and manage a professional network on Facebook, separate from social contacts, via their iPhone while on the move.

Recruitment communication software system Talentfizz has launched.

The system connects HR and recruitment professionals with active and passive jobseekers, using referral methods via social channels to expand the available candidate pool, generate more relevant applicants and reduce time to hire.

Public sector recruiter Capita says it expects “strong growth” for 2012 and beyond as it records increased profits in its half-year report for the six months to 30 June.

New recruitment training app trainedUp! has been launched.

The app provides access to a library of training videos on recruitment and hiring. Videos are in the form of ‘knowledge bites’ that stream for four minutes on average.

Nestlé UK & Ireland today announced an investment of £110m in its Tutbury, Derbyshire site, which will add 300 jobs to its Dolce Gusto coffee brand.
