Demand for promotional marketing and merchandise industry specific sales jobs is on the increase, according to research from Bta Sales Recruitment.

The research, conducted by Bta’s marketing department, reveals a significant surge in promotional marketing and merchandise sales positions has occurred since the turn of the year, up 26% on this period a year ago.

The UK recruitment market is looking “relatively positive” but future prospects are difficult to predict due to a number of “unknowns”, according to Dan Martin, managing director at international provider of candidate sourcing technology Broadbean Technology.

Almost a third (32%) of UK family businesses do not have succession plans in place for key senior roles, according to research from professional services firm PwC.
