Contracts/Deals: Kenexa wins Standard Chartered Bank contract

Kenexa, international provider of business solutions for HR, is helping Standard Chartered Bank recruit 500 graduates a year in 30 countries across Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

The initiative will find candidates for two graduate intake programmes: a two-year international management programme, for the future leaders of six business functions in the bank; and a one-year fast-track programme for relationship managers in local countries.

Kenexa will recruit around 300 candidates a year for the bank’s International Graduate programme, which aims to develop graduates in consumer banking, wholesale banking, finance, HR, corporate real estate services and group internal audit functions.

Recruits undertake online assessments including logical and numerical reasoning tests and personality profiling. Kenexa then analyses the results and screens candidates through a telephone interview. A shortlist of qualified candidates is then provided to the bank for the final stage of the process, which usually includes a face-to-face interview, further assessments along with group exercises. Candidates can apply online through the bank’s website.
