Contracts/Deals: Transline Resource Group wins Argos contract

Logistics recruitment firm Transline Resource Group has been awarded lead vendor status with mail order retailer Argos for its Wincanton for Argos operations.

Logistics recruitment firm Transline Resource Group has been awarded lead vendor status with mail order retailer Argos for its Wincanton for Argos operations. The contract came through its longstanding relationship with expert temporary recruitment procurers de Poel Consulting.

Located at Barton under Needwood — near Burton on Trent — the contract requires up to 60 Class 1 HGV drivers (sourced locally) a day at peak times.

Transline Resource Driving already manages the Wincanton for Argos contracts at both Heywood and Castleford and now manages the Barton site, its first contract with Argos in the Midlands region.

Transline Resource national contracts manager Stephen Carr says: “Over the next month we will be getting to know the contract and will actively be recruiting in the area. We’ll be advertising and are encouraging any HGV Class 1 drivers to contact our on-site representatives.”
