Davey: don’t want another AWR

The employment relations minister Ed Davey has outlined the government’s plans to avoid any “future AWRs”.

Global executive search and assessment firm Russell Reynolds Associates has appointed Francois Kouroriez as executive director to its Boston office in the US.

In his new role, Kouroriez will conduct searches for and provide strategic leadership advice to the insurance industry.

Multi-site recruiter Wells Tobias Recruitment has appointed Simon Dudley as managing consultant for its accountancy & finance team in its London Office.

Dudley was previously at Michael Page and Reed, and has 10 years’ recruitment experience within the finance sector.

Randstad Managed Services, the managed service provider and recruitment process outsourcing arm of Randstad, has appointed Niall Hallahan as financial director.

Hallahan most recently held financial directorship positions at Hays IT, Hays Accountancy & Finance and Robert Walters. His remit also extends to Randstad Financial & Professional.

Executive search firm Pedersen & Partners has opened a new office in Mumbai, less than a year after opening a New Delhi office.

Suvra Sen has been appointed as head of the Mumbai office. Sen has specialised in C-level searches and has successfully completed assignments in the real estate and technology sectors, among others.

Most UK graduates believe big corporations are bigger payers and offer more security than SMEs, according to a survey of 200 UK graduates, commissioned by specialist SME graduate recruiter, Give A Grad A Go.

Of those polled, 91% think corporations pay better, 79% think they offer better job security and 74% believe they offer better career progression than SMEs.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service has appointed Stephen Moir as executive director of workforce and strategy.

Moir was previously corporate director: strategy and democracy at Cambridgeshire County Council.

He starts his new role on 1 June.

Global executive search firm Korn/Ferry International has joined forces with IBB Management Executive Search, headquartered in Casablanca, Morocco.

Through the alliance, Korn/Ferry is able to expand its reach into the Moroccan market, while IBB Management can gain access to Korn/Ferry’s global executive search network.

Public sector recruiter The Capita Group has been appointed as preferred supplier by a NHS North Mersey collaboration to deliver HR, payroll and recruitment services for up to 12 NHS trusts in Mersey.

The seven-year contract, worth up to £27m, with an option to extend for a further three years, will begin roll out by the end of the year.
