Jobs search engine 1Job has launched UK Jobs, an application for the iPhone, which enables jobseekers to search for vacancies wherever they are and at any time.
The allows a fully functional search of the 1Job database of advertised vacancies, updated daily, across the UK and Ireland.
Hexagon announced an increase in net fee income for the year ended 31 March, although as Jonathan Wright, its chief executive told Recruiter, it was “very much a year of two halves” as the company was hit by the downturn in permanent recruitment in the second half.

The Australian market for UK recruiters is not dead - despite reports that many British recruiters working there on employer-sponsored visas have had to leave after losing their jobs because of the global economic downturn (recruiter.co.uk, 17 July and shortlist.net.au).
Manpower profits slump
