Hotel chain InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is to create more than 3,000 new jobs across the UK as part of its plans to open 37 hotels over the next few years.
The chain, which includes InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza and Hotel Indigo, is to open more than 1,200 hotels worldwide, creating 160,000 jobs.

One in five of workers aged over 45 fear they will lose their job in the next year, according to research from market research agency GfK NOP.
