This week’s appointments include: Ably Resources, Accurate Background, NPAworldwide

Ably Resources, a Scottish-based international recruiter in the energy and maritime sectors, has announced a series of promotions and new hires. Within its expanding energy division, divisional manager Lewis Millen has promoted Paul McAlpine, David McGarrigle and Ross Thomson to managing consultants charged with growing their offshore, drilling and renewables teams respectively. Stuart Geogh has been appointed as a managing consultant to lead the petroleum team. New hires Conor Toal and Rory Cleat have also joined the energy team, supporting the growth in the international markets.

Accurate Background, a global provider of compliant background checks, has appointed Kevin Stone as director of sales and marketing. Stone will lead Accurate’s sales, marketing and client services divisions in the UK in identifying the right screening and monitoring solutions for clients across EMEA. He will report to Accurate’s chief revenue officer Dan Shoemaker.

• Recruitment network NPAworldwide has made a number of appointments to its board of directors globally. Pam Robison, J. Gifford (Tulsa, Oklahoma, US), automatically acceded to chairman after completing a one-year term as chair-elect. Jenn Anderson, Prestige Recruiting Firm (Largo, Florida, US), was elected to a two-year term as a director for the Americas. Melanie Johnson, Sunrock Recruitment (London, UK), was elected to a two-year term as director for EMEA. Parvathy Krishnan, Cucumber Consultants (Hyderabad, India), was elected to a two-year term as director for Asia.

Smart Solutions secures invoice facility from Cynergy Business Finance

Cardiff-based recruitment services business Smart Solutions (Recruitment) has secured an £18m aggregated confidential invoice discounting facility from Cynergy Business Finance (CBF).
