• Umbrella employment services provider Parasol Group has appointed Russell Upton as business development and key accounts director. Upton brings more than 20 years of experience working in financial services and employee benefits sector. He was previously sales director at umbrella company Sterling Group.

• The Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) has appointed Alyx Peters as the first chair of its advisory council. She will lead the advisory council in supporting the REC’s board and leadership staff. Peters has been working in recruitment since 2001 and is currently the CEO of Network Recruitment Wales. She is also the managing director of MPS Healthcare and SET Recruitment.

• Recruitment firm Robert Half has appointed Marnie H Wilking to its board of directors. Based in California, Wilking is a Fortune 250 chief information security officer and the global head of security and technology risk management at Wayfair. She has more than 20 years of experience implementing cybersecurity strategy in alignment with regulatory requirements and business objectives.
