Staffline acquires Passionate About People

Staffline has hit the acquisition trail once again with the purchase of Passionate About People.

Barely two months on from the announcement of the recruitment and training group’s acquisition of Grafton Recruitment, this morning Staffline announced it had bought the entire issued share capital of Passionate About People for an undisclosed sum, and funded from existing resources.

Passionate About People, established two decades ago, is made up of two companies: Omega Resource Group Ltd, a provider of blue-collar, flexible, staffing solutions to the aerospace, automotive, construction, energy, logistics and manufacturing sectors; and Datum RPO Ltd, a provider of recruitment process outsourcing solutions to blue-chip clients.

Staffline said the acquisition is consistent with its strategy of accelerating the growth of its recruitment division through select, complementary acquisitions that bring strategic benefits to the group. The deal will broaden its UK footprint, particularly in South-West England, with branches in Swindon and Gloucester, Staffline added.

Commenting on the deal, Staffline CEO Chris Pullen said Passionate About People was a “highly complementary” fit to its existing recruitment activities, would broaden sector coverage and its UK footprint, and enable the group to offer clients new services through Datum and Omega.

“The acquisition gives us access to new sectors in aerospace, energy and construction, as well as increasing our marketshare in manufacturing, whilst further strengthening our market leading position in the automotive and logistics sectors.

“The acquisition supports [blue-collar recruitment division] Staffline Recruitment’s vision to be the trusted market leader, providing a single destination for blue-collar workers and employers to connect across the UK. I look forward to welcoming the Passionate About People team to the group.”
