Morson advances with technical specialist buy in the US

Morson Group has strengthened its position as a global talent solutions leader with the acquisition of US-based technical recruiter PTS Advance.

The move marks a milestone in Morson’s international growth strategy and significantly broadens its capabilities across North America’s energy, infrastructure and advanced manufacturing sectors, the company said.

As market demand accelerates across technology, engineering and industrial landscapes, the acquisition aligns with Morson’s ambition to offer clients seamless access to expert talent – wherever and whenever it’s needed.

It builds on Morson’s commitment to removing complexity for clients by unifying capability across disciplines, regions and sectors.

PTS Advance is a large, specialist provider of technical talent to the US’s oil, gas, chemicals, power, renewables, construction, infrastructure and manufacturing industries. It was formed through the combination of three family-founded businesses.

Originally founded by Ronald and June Stein in 1995 from their California home, PTS Advance is led by CEO Dustin House and a team of sector specialists. The business brings a full range of staffing services to Morson Group’s US operations, including contract hire, direct hire, project hire, payroll and transition services.

PTS Advance’s offices provide Morson Group with a network across the southern US, including Tustin, California; Houston and Port Arthur, Texas; and Orlando, Florida. From these locations, the recruitment business will continue to actively support projects across the entire North American continent.

Led by CEO Ged Mason, Morson Group – headquartered in Salford, near Manchester in the UK (pictured) – is a diverse collection of businesses that delivers consultancy, design, technology, screening, training and people solutions around the world.
