• Independent IT recruiter Cathcart Associates has made three senior promotions in its Scotland and North of England divisions.

The promotions follow recent news of expansion by the business in its Manchester office and the creation of a dedicated training programme for graduate recruits.

Stuart Manderson has been promoted to sales manager for the whole of the UK IT business. Murray Simpson has been made Scotland team leader, and Liam Wilson steps into a new role as senior consultant specialising in the sourcing and placement of senior IT professionals for the north of England.

• Executive search specialist Eames Consulting Group has made Jamie Card partner & manager, insurance change management at the firm. Card, who was recently also promoted to manager earlier this month, will head up the contract change management division, which focuses on the London insurance market.

• Executive search provider Heidrick & Struggles has appointed Carlos Garcia to lead its supply chain and operations practice globally, alongside his role as partner in charge of the firm’s Los Angeles office.

With 30 years of experience in the supply chain sector, Garcia has previously worked in the US, Europe and Latin America, leading international search engagements for global supply chain leaders.

• Global talent solutions business Hudson has appointed Elizabeth Basten as a UK board director. Basten, who joins from integrated marketing services consultancy Communisis, where she was marketing director, will lead Hudson’s teams focusing on marketing, digital and sales roles based in Birmingham.

She will be responsible for enhancing the client and candidate experience in the region, with focus on integrating Hudson’s recruitment and talent solutions to offer a broader range of services to support Midlands employers.

• Global talent consultancy Spengler Fox has appointed Lone Roervig as global head of its life sciences practice group. She will be based in Denmark.

• UK specialist retail recruiter Zachary Daniels has appointed Sam Parkin as associate director for its hospitality and leisure division Parkin has more than a decade of experience in hospitality recruitment, at 360 Resourcing Solutions and Turtle Bay Restaurants.
