The former press officer of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) got herself in the press this week – being named one of the three faces of lingerie company Playtex’s Ageless Generation campaign.
Recruiter’s old friend Alison Henderson was one of the women over 50 nominated and then chosen by a panel of judges including TV presenter and interior designer Linda Barker and fashion experts from Debenhams.
Barker told the Southern Daily Echo, which wrote a profile of Henderson: “We selected Alison because she shatters the outdated notions that older women can only look forward to a life of sensible underwear and a pair of comfy slippers.
“Alison is vivacious, positive about life and adventurous. She represents what today’s 50-plus women are all about.”
Since leaving the REC in April of last year, Henderson has been a communications consultant within cultural organisation the British Council, continues to blog and write on music, and describes herself in her twitter biog as a “prog evangelist”. Rock on!
