G4S sees rise in social media recruitment through Facebook

According to the company, despite bad press resulting from G4S's failure to recruit sufficient personnel for the London Olympic and Paralympic Games last summer, the G4S Facebook page has passed the 50,000 ‘likes’ mark, leading to the rise in online applications.

Since January, G4S says that more than 100,000 visitors to the Facebook page have clicked through to the careers site to view roles.
