China: Google most popular employer, says survey

Google is the company they would most like to work for, making it China’s most desirable employer, according to a survey of more than 3,600 business managers in the country.

The second most popular was the China National Petroleum Corporation, followed by Dupont, Siemens and Apple, according to the research carried out by recruiter Antal International and China-based magazine, Network HR.

Overall, the top three factors attracting managers and professionals to an employer are: pay and benefits (59%), the size of the company (54%) and its public reputation (48%). However, ‘softer’ factors, such as management style (43%) and work/life balance (39%) are also playing an increasing role.
