Recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) firm BPS Europe has acquired multi-sector recruitment firm Hinton Lea Associates.

Hinton Lea operates in the automotive, engineering & nuclear, IT & technology and sales & marketing sectors. The Hinton Lea teams will be amalgamated into the corresponding divisions as BPS. BPS will also rename as BPS World.

Simon Conington, managing director of BPS, says: “Our clients told us they wanted a more integrated approach which, following the acquisition, we now have the capability and scale to deliver on a range of challenging assignments, both in the UK and overseas.”

BPS had a turnover of £11.1m in the financial year 2011-12, compared to Hinton Lea’s £2.3m, while predicted turnover for the new company in the current financial year is £16m.
