Turnover rises 13% at NRL

Technical recruiter NRL Group’s turnover rose by 13% on the same period in 2008, for the first half of the year to 30 June 2009.

Turnover jumped from £33.5m to £37.9m, while gross profits increased from £3.1m to £3.3m.

Mike Barber (pictured), managing director at NRL Group, says: “Despite difficult trading conditions, the Group has performed exceptionally well, bucking the downward trend seen by the majority of recruitment businesses.

“The NRL Group has continued to invest for the future with significant e-commerce and infrastructure related investments during the period. Profit margins are down slightly (by 0.5%), but given the prevailing market conditions and our continuous investment strategy we are particularly pleased with these very positive half-year results.”
