Around a third of primary care trusts are recruiting GPs from abroad to cover UK doctors unwilling to work at weekends and evenings.

The Daily Mail report claims that the locums can earn as much as £100 an hour and trusts were recruiting from Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Hungary, Italy and Switzerland.
