Specialist hospitality recruiter Towngate Personnel has just filled an unusual seasonal brief for a client based in Lapland.

The Bournemouth-based recruiter had a brief to find extrovert, resourceful, multi-skilled staff who were available immediately and happy to work up to 16 hours a day, in temperatures down to -30 deg centigrade, while maintaining a jolly façade as they helped create the dream for hundreds of families visiting Father Christmas up in the Arctic Circle.

The main problem Towngate Personnel had was initially persuading people that the jobs were real. However, they quickly arranged for three top chefs and an experienced manager to fly out straight away to Karesuando in Northern Finland to help ensure that all the guests at the Davvi Arctic Lodge were going to have a very Merry Christmas.
