Marketing recruiter Stopgap has launched ‘Stopgap Apprentice’, which offers paid marketing internships within high-profile businesses.
Cornerstone, Ebury Publishing, Transworld and Vintage Publishing, all divisions of the Random House Group, Encore Tickets and global marketing agency ICLP are among employers supporting the campaign, which uses YouTube and Facebook to showcase graduate talent.
Claire Owen, leader of vision and values at Stopgap, says: “Britain’s young marketing talent is facing a difficult market, with increased competition for decreased graduate openings.
“We believe that by offering marketing internships, this fresh new marketing talent will obtain invaluable working experience, while being paid for their hard work and commitment. The Stopgap Apprentice offers a fresh generation their chance to get a foot on the marketing ladder.”
Entrants to the Stopgap Apprentice have to create a 60-second YouTube video of themselves demonstrating why they should be chosen for a paid internship.
