Aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul provider Vector Aerospace Helicopter Services has appointed Claire Silvester as UK HR director.

The former HR director of international building products group Aliaxis, Silvester will be responsible for HR at the company’s aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul business at Almondbank, Croydon and Fleetlands.

Silvester has more than 20 years’ experience in service and manufacturing HR.

Vector expanded its UK presence when it acquired the DARA (Defence Aviation and Repair Agency) assets from the Ministry of Defence in 2008. As part of its acquisition and Vector UK strategy, the management team was enhanced through the addition of key roles, which included the appointment of Silvester as UK HR director.

AIM-listed and professional services company the ReThink Group has appointed Stefan Ciecierski as regional director for recruitment business ReThink Recruitment covering London and the South-East. Ciecierski joins from marketing and design recruiter Aquent. See News for more information on his appointment.

Global executive search firm Odgers Berndtson has appointed Michael Mundy as partner and Carrie A Mandel as principal in the firm’s Toronto office in Canada. Mundy was previously managing director at TSI Executive Search in Toronto. Mandel will lead Odgers Berndtson’s Legal and Compliance practice and will also play a key role in expanding the firm’s business in other areas, including financial services and professional services.

Life sciences recruiter A La Carte Search and Selection has appointed Nick Workman as international director. Workman will head up all overseas recruitment of life sciences recruiters, as well as recruiting domestically.

Samantha Davenport has been appointed head of resourcing and talent at Lloyds Banking Group. She was previously head of resourcing and talent, global retail and commercial banking (GRCB) at Barclays Bank.
