Most in-house recruiters expect increased pressure to recruit absolutely the right person for the job when they resume hiring, according to respondents to Recruiter’s recent ‘The Future of Recruitment’ survey.

The four most popular methods that will be used to improve the quality of hires will be: improving line managers’ recruiting skills; developing the capabilities of in-house recruitment teams; skills assessment; and more rigorous CV screening, survey respondents said.

The online survey, with separate sections for agency and in-house recruiters, drew responses from nearly 700 readers overall. “We’re delighted with the response to our first major survey,” said Recruiter editor DeeDee Doke.

“The responses are giving us significant insight into what is on the minds of our readers and how they view the next year in recruitment terms.”
