QPS Group has acquired Dublin-based financial services recruiter SSC Recruitment. The exact amount paid was not disclosed, however, the acquisition was paid for mainly in cash, and a small earn-out was involved. No borrowing was required to fund the acquisition.

Colin Gerstein, QPS Groups' chief executive, told Recruiter that he was "extremely happy with the acquisition."  Gerstein added: "Despite what is going on in financial services in the UK, we are making money in some niche areas where demand is quite buoyant and we believe we should be able to achieve the same result in the Irish market."
