Day builds on success in Asia by taking on UK operation
Guy Day, managing director, Asia, for Australia-based recruiter Ambition, has been given the UK as part of his remit.
Day will take charge of the group’s UK operation, Witan Jardine, integrating Ambition’s London business with its international operations and leveraging key client relationships in Asia and London for the accounting & audit, banking & finance, and sales and marketing markets.
Day will also be responsible for spearheading long-term business growth and developing strategic direction for the UK and Asia markets.
Day established Ambition’s Asia operation in Hong Kong in 2001 before further expansion into Singapore in 2007.
Paul Lyons, group managing director of Ambition, says: “Asia and the UK account for half the group’s revenue and profit, and so it is fitting that we have someone with Guy’s leadership experience and ability at the helm.

Multi-sector recruiter FiveTen Group has appointed former Hudson managing director Gary Lazzarotto as chief executive of its Asia-Pacific region.
The former chief executive for Hudson across Asia will replace Chris Digby, who is leaving the group.
