Adecco global revenues grow, slower in UK

Adecco has announced revenues of €5.3bn (£4.54bn) for Q3 2011, a 4% increase on the same quarter in 2010 or 7% ‘organic’ growth when currency growth is taken into account.

Gross profit totalled €906m, with temporary staffing dragging the profit margin down while the profits for permanent placements increased 0.1% over the quarter.

‘Organic’ revenues year-on-year increased by just 2% in the UK and Ireland, while Iberia and the Nordic region reported revenue decline of 4% and 2% respectively.

Germany & Austria saw revenue growth of 23%, Italy 19% and emerging markets of 17%.

The company’s career transition and development business Lee Hecht Harrison saw a 12% decline in organic revenues.
