RESULTS: Overseas performance buoys Michael Page as UK banking takes a hit

International financial recruiter Michael Page International increased its gross profits by 7.7% at constant currency in the first quarter of 2012, buoyed by improved performance in EMEA, Asia Pacific and the Americas. In contrast, the UK saw gross profits down 3.7% compared with the same quarter in 2011 as the weakness of the banking sector hit the company’s performance.
