International recruitment and labour hire firm Total Staffing Solutions has made a flat debut on the Australian stock exchange. The company raised $5m through its initial public offer of 20m shares at 25 cents each.



Recruiter's monitored shares fared better this week, with many holding their price. Some of the industry's leading names even saw their share price increase in value.

Matchtech shares rose 1.5p to 358.5p after it reported good growth in net fee income across its engineering, built environment and support services divisions.

Recruitment shares fared better than they have in months, with a majority increasing in value or remaining static. As Recruiter went to press, Spring Group shares had risen 4% or 2p, to reach a value of 51.5p, after it announced a 23% growth in net fee income to £56.1m for the year ended 31 December 2007, compared to £45.8m in 2006.
Revenue at 51job.com, China's largest online recruitment firm, increased 21% in 2007. Growth was driven by China's booming economy and a steady increase in internet connectivity.
