Automotive recruiter Southgate Consulting has launched an initiative to help redundant automotive workers back into employment.

Quick service restaurant chain KFC has been flooded with job applications to its new online hiring management system, receiving more than 95,000 applications in the first eight months of this year.

The numbers are in addition to conventional, hard copy applications KFC also receives.

Restaurant chain McDonald’s has recruited 20,000 employees since turning to an online recruitment system, it has been announced.
