McDonald’s online recruitment delivers 20,000th employee

Restaurant chain McDonald’s has recruited 20,000 employees since turning to an online recruitment system, it has been announced.

Restaurant chain McDonald’s has recruited 20,000 employees since turning to an online recruitment system, it has been announced.

The system, introduced in March, recruits an average of 1,000 new staff members per week and delivers 1,400 applicants per day. It has also provided £500,000 in savings since its launch.

David Fairhurst, senior vice president, chief people officer, McDonald’s UK & Northern Europe, said: “Our online recruitment system has quickly proved its worth, and the modern design of the website interface and streamlined functionality reflect McDonald’s increasing appeal as a responsible employer that offers high-quality jobs and long-term career opportunities.”
