Recruitment giant Randstad says it is confident on its performance for forthcoming quarters after posting increased revenues in Q1 2011, according to chief executive Ben Noteboom.

The group’s results reveal:

·     Revenue up 22% to €3.7bn (£3.25bn) organic growth per working day 15%

·     Operating expenses sequentially down 2% to €562m

Legal and finance recruiter CML Recruitment has launched an iPhone app.

The app enables jobseekers to track applications consultants are making on their behalf and keep a closer eye on where their CV has been sent.

The app also features a link to Google maps, recorded podcasts with interview tips and a ‘Hot Jobs of the Week’ section, only available to those with the app.

Global mobility specialists IPM has appointed David Kitchen as chairman.

StoreManagersinFashion.com is published by fashion business title Drapersand follows the relaunch of Drapersjobs.com at the end of March.

The site aims to link store management talent with independent and multiple fashion retailers throughout the UK. 

James Reed, chairman of Reed Global, says he wants recruiting on the basis of mindset to become normal practice. Speaking at the launch of a new book, Put your Mindset to Work, by Reed and Dr Paul G Stoltz in London last week, Reed said: “That’s our goal absolutely. The challenge is the right people for the right job right now.

More than a quarter of the UK workforce (27%) is secretly looking for a new job and have not told their boss or line manager, according to findings from distance learning specialist Home Learning College.

The research also shows that more than a third (34%) of those currently in work reported being on the hunt for a new position.
