The number of new City jobs rose by 142% in January on December, according to the latest Morgan McKinley London Employment Monitor.
The Monitor reveals that compared to January 2010, job numbers rose by 28% this January. The number of new candidates also rose by 76% month-on-month in January 2011.

I know one organisation that was making a lot of people redundant but carried on recruiting analysts. Companies want them for the commercial savings they can bring.
Confidence continues to rise among employers over their short term and long-term hiring intentions, according to the REC’s March JobsOutlook.
For the third month in a row the REC Confidence Index has risen to the highest point since last April last year.
