New iPad app from Monster

Monster.co.uk has launched an iPad app.

Monster.co.uk has launched an iPad app.

Launched on the day in which UK consumers took receipt of the first iPad2’s off the production line, the app matches skills with vacancies and enables jobseekers to view jobs from their iPad.

The app also sends job alerts, while candidates can also search on location, save job searches and apply for jobs from their iPad.

Osman Ahmed, head of social media at Monster, told Recruiter: “You sign into iTunes. You search Monster and you can download it and it’s free. You don’t have to have an account to search but you do need one to apply for a job. An iPad is so mobile that you can search for jobs anywhere. If you are at work and you don’t want your boss to see you apply for a job, you can do it from your iPad rather than your desktop.

“The functionality is the same as the iPhone app. It sources all the job feeds from our sites. It covers all sectors that Monster has.”
