The pay divide between IT workers in the North and South is closing, according to new research form technology staffing firm ReThink Recruitment.
The research shows that IT workers in the North earned 69% of London salaries in 2009, up from 66% in 2008. Average weekly pay for IT professionals in the North of England rose by 6% last year to £625, up from £590 in 2008.
Industrial recruiter Driver Hire has hired Jim Kirwan and Mika Zonta as trainers to deliver its Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) training.
